Easter Cookie FAIL: Pinterest Exposed!
You want to know how I spent my Saturday night? Well, let me tell you…
You see, I found this recipe on Pinterest that I thought would be great for making Easter cookies. All I needed to do was add food coloring to add a the perfect touch of Easter flair. Here’s the recipe:
1 lb. Butter
1 ½ C. Sugar
2 C Brown Sugar
3 Eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla
6 Cups Flour
½ tsp. Salt
1 ½ tsp. Baking Powder
Food Dye
1 Bag of Easter M&Ms
The 1 lb of butter and small amount of baking powder should have been my first two clues this recipe was a FRAUD! I spent 2 hours mixing it all together and baking them. Had they turned out right, there was enough batter for at least 3 dozen cookies. There was a lot! Here’s how it all went down:
They tasted okay, but looked terrible. I think the recipe called for too much flour and not enough baking powder. Moral of the story, don’t believe everything you see on Pinterest!
Stay sweet,
Amanda
